If so, why allow O'Reilly to muddy the waters? FOX right-wing pundits talk big, Murdoch exploits "Glee" on his network, and ratings are generated on the backs of LGBT rights opposition. O'Reilly is NOT our friend, and Obama has managed to get us back to the same spot we were at before Bill Clinton caved to pressure from Sam Nunn and the right-wing Demos and Repubs (result: DADT). Military review of policy and surveys on end DADT are being conducted as a matter of form. As Rachel Maddow pointed out, the surveys prior to Truman integrating the military were 80% AGAINST it. It's rather disingenuous (in the face of the just-avoided Second Depression, the banking, health, and BP oil spill) to call for a simple "just sign an Executive Order." Those can be overturned easily by succeeding administrations. The UMCJ revisions to eliminate DADT require some planning and study (as we learn from our allies' experience). "Simple and easy aren't the same thing." Has anyone kept count of the things Obama’s accomplished for LGBT rights in his first 18 months in office?
